You can now copy and paste nodes directly in your onboarding flows.

• Hover over any node (e.g. Identity information) and click the new Copy button.
• When adding a new node, use Paste node to insert an exact copy.
• Copying and pasting works across playbooks, making it easy to reuse configurations in other flows.

This update makes it much faster to duplicate and reuse nodes without rebuilding them from scratch.

You can now fully customize your onboarding flows to match your brand directly in our Onboarding Engine. With Theming, you can define colors, typography, buttons, inputs, and more using JSON, and apply your theme across any of your playbooks.

Whether you want to align playbooks with your company’s design system or run experiments with different styles, Theming gives you the flexibility to make the experience truly yours.

How it works:

• Create a theme by defining style variables (e.g. colors, border radius) in JSON.
• Apply that theme to any playbook instantly.
• Reuse themes across multiple playbooks for consistent branding.

We’re excited to announce two powerful additions to our Onboarding Engine: External API nodes and Input Schema nodes. These give you greater flexibility and control when building automation workflows for identity verification, onboarding, and beyond. Onboarding is now truly programmable with just a few clicks!

External API Nodes

You can now connect to any third-party service directly from your playbook. With the new External API node, you can:

• Call any external API (GET, POST, etc.) to verify user data or trigger actions.
• Pass in onboarding variables as parameters for dynamic, context-aware requests.
• Customize headers, query parameters, and expected response types (JSON supported).
• Extract response data into onboarding variables to drive conditional step-ups

This opens up endless possibilities for integrations, from fraud detection APIs, dynamic payment checkout, and even custom data enrichment services.

Input Schema Nodes

Playbooks now support Inputs, letting you define the exact schema required to run a playbook. By specifying structured inputs like strings, numbers, or nested objects you can now dynamically control onboarding with real-time data. For example, pass in a transaction amount or risk score and use that to conditionally step-up the user with a document verification. The customizations are limitless!
